Today was my first trip to the Kubota Garden in Seattle The gardens were started with five acres back in 1927 and grew to twenty acres in 1946. It was built by the Kubota family and was sold to the City of Seattle in 1987 which established the Kubota Garden Foundation that works with the city to assure its preservation.

It was the first really hot day of the year and made it to 92 degrees. As it was my first visit, I really didn’t know what to expect from this Japanese Garden. I had thought about brining a tripod, but with the heat I’m happy I went with a smaller kit. My camera of choice was my new Canon r6 Mark 2 which replaced my Canon r5 I recently sold. I took along the rf 24-105mm stm lens along with my rf 100-400mm. Mosts of the duck pictures were taken with the 100-400mm at 400mm. Here is a selection of the large number of pictures I took and may edit them down in number.
